Love their stuff. Kilchoman is similar, and a beaut too if that’s you’re thing.
I’m thrown between the pure peat bombs like that and the more sherried offerings. I may say that the Ardbeg bottles I have are the best scotch I have…. 100% personal taste and won’t dismiss anyone’s alternatives.

Which Ardbeg can I ask?

Oban makes a very nice subtle scotch as well, really nicely balanced without the intense smoke.

Oh science. I put this guy in the freezer to cool for the evening and let it spend too much time there. Poured fine but a TINY bit less carbonation than expected. Out of curiosity—and for science—I used one of my instant read thermometers to check temp. Beer was 19* F but still pure liquid.

Also credit for double local. Free Will brewing has a truly glorious barrel aging program (very diverse) and this particular gem is aged in new liberty barrels (believe they are Philly proper)
