Good golly glorious resin.

I'm usually buying for the family and it would be rude to est ALL of them on the way home.

As an aside, it's weird how I always order a large but yet by the time I get home and realize it, they, uhhh, only filled it to a medium.
Just claim dad tax and move on

I haven't gotten it in a few weeks but got it today and apparently HCette did too (two different towns).

I got mine and the fries were cold and what I would consider awful. They were also noticeably really hard. So I asked HCette how were fries were and she hit me with "HORRIBLE, they were hard."

So we both had similar experiences.

Sure enough after googling it they changed them like two weeks ago. Apparently coating the fries in corn starch to make them more crispy.

Hate it.*

*Maybe they'd be better if they were warm.
I've gone a couple times since they made the switch and every time that I've gotten them they have been hot and so much better than the older ones. When they're hot, they're crispy, but not too crispy. 10/10 when hot

Just had some leftovers from a belated Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey is the most overrated protein of all time. How many people actually cook a whole turkey outside of US Thanksgiving? Zero? I'd hope so. What nonsense.
i like turkey..but if we hadn't gotten a free whole turkey this year..i would never get anything more than a Turkey Breast

That extra dry, extra bland turkey breast is a thing of food nightmares.

My turkey cravings start and stop at a fried leg. GO HOKIES.

I'm a dark meat guy, but ironically, I think the white meat is the most redeeming part of the turkey. Not on the day of, but for leftovers, for sure. Tldr, I just think it's a nonsense tradition that has no real taste value.

By happenstance, this year, my Thanksgiving dinner was a pretty good burger with some also pretty good onion rings. I didn't miss turkey at all lol

I won't lie, I could probably do without turkey for Thanksgiving. I smoked a few breasts for a friendsgiving a few years back and they were probably the best versions I've ever had.

To your point, no matter how well you make a turkey, It always comes our dry.

We are close on this. I guess my point is that, even if it's not dry, best turkey you ever cooked...it's still mid at best. It's just not a good bird, but tradition I guess. And I like tradition lol.

Don't try to gaslight me with turkey. It's not a "bountiful of resources" meal like it's made out to be.
If the harvest is strong, give me a table with multiple chickens. Save the turkey for the natives. JOKING!!!

i really want a fried turkey for thanksgiving one of these years
That was the one thing I wanted to try. My uncles did that when I was in my teens. It was good, but I was always there later. If nothing else, you're going to get a "best turkey ever" story, or a "remember when Uncle Troslol burnt down the house?" story. It's a win win. Do it, and send pics
