Eat up @Starat327. Hope it’s done proper for you.
If you and @Surrounded By Ahos got together, you could probably make the perfect steak.

It’s similar. A slightly different taste. It’s more reddish brown color than root beer.

This is the good shit though. It needs to find its way down south.

So this is kinda short notice but i wasnt sure what my allocations would be.

For those interested, I can grab 2019 and 2017 black tuesday bottles with my Bruery allocation today. They're 30 a piece, ~19.x% Bourbon barrel aged stout, worth every penny, in my opinion.

Ive got 1 bottle of 19 left available, and up to 5 bottles of 17. Please let me know ASAP as i have to submit the order soon.

@Peter Man @Cody Webster @JojoTheWhale @Rebels57 I feel bad, as im sure i'm missing a few people here

edit: silly me - @dragonoffrost as well

This used to be one of my favorite craft beers.

Man, evolution is wild.
Did a bit of ruminating about this since my bottle shop advertised they were getting DFH 75 minute in. I think you can pretty easily identify which of the big tenured craft breweries of the nineties and early aughts rested on their laurels. Some, the quality of the beer was so good to begin, they hold up. Some, they’re getting surpassed by newer, more experimental and—dare I say—more skilled brewers.

Yeah, Lagunitas went downhill quickly after the heineken buyout. they still make some stuff thats pretty decent, but overall the quality is just kinda poor. Brown Shugga used to be so much better than what that was yesterday. That'll be a "im already drunk, cant taste anything, but want another beer"kinda beer until theyre gone, at this point. I guess its also possible that i've just outgrown the flavor profile, but there was just nothing there that reminded me of what that beer used to be.

Not sure if this is what you had...

Dare to go Dutch

Here's one that makes both white and red birch beer.

I’m somewhat sure that is what i had. That’s the brand I’m familiar with, at any rate. I check Wegmans today, since that’s a thing now. They have it, just not at the Raleigh location :(

That can hurts my eyes
The advantage is if you drop one and it spills the can can double as a wet floor sign.

I've never had Birch Beer but I have always HATED Root Beer so I figured it may be similar. But on the other hand if it's like ginger ale/beer I may like it. All I know is it is an absolute failure of everyone around me to not introduce me to cream soda until I was nearly 40. I have to thank Diagon Alley's Butterbeer for the first introduction. Then I read that cream soda was usually vanilla flavored and I went racing to grab some. Now I'll usually get a few bottles when I visit the local barcade with my nephew.

I have an unhealthy addiction to cream soda and since it's rare to find Diet versions of it I tend to limit my consumption :(

black nibs? you really do march to the beat of your own drum. Impressive

I always liked black licorice (including black jelly beans) (and Jaegermeister) and I was always the only one. When I was a caddy, we used to go across the highway to this auto dealer who had a vending machine in the back of his lot, and they always had black Nibs in there. Delicious.

By the way, if any of you do manage to kidnap me, do NOT under any circumstances let me anywhere near Jaegermeister. It's not for my benefit - it's to protect the world.

I don't think I can do a favorite candy list. Our office had a bunch of big bags of candy that they're going to hand out at the DMV branches and I wanted to run off with them SO BAD. They had mini candy bars like Twix and stuff in one assortment and the other had all the fruity candies like Nerds, Sweettarts, and Sour Patch Kids. I could live off nothing but those bags of candy for a few weeks!
