How in gods earth would a Marner for karlsson trade make sense.

Well Karlsson was coming off a 100 point season I believe, so I’m sure SJ would have added a few picks to balance out. But I do remember Karlsson being really sought after by many teams including the Oilers.

I don’t think the Sharks had Smith or Eklund at the time.

On the replay they showed, the ref outside the zone raised his hand the second Robertson was crosschecked from behind into the boards. Either the ref thought Robertson was doing the crosschecking or the ref was responding to a furious text from Bettman.

The broadcast team was as confused as most Leaf fans that we weren't on the PP.

The best days for both Florida and Tampa are in the rear view mirror. Three years of extended playoff runs to the Cup finals have taken an enormous physical toll.

We’re reminded of this every time Toronto plays Florida and Leaf “fans” are whining about poor Florida being so decimated by injuries. Juice Pig Ekblad was so desperate to heal up his body that he resorted to using PEDs.

After three straight trips to the Cup finals, Tampa has been one-and-done the past two seasons. It’ll be their last gasp this year or next and then they’ll be in the same spot that Boston is currently in - - rebuilding and selling off what little value remains.

Bottom line - - Tampa and Florida are a couple of broken down shitwagons just relying on their reputations at this point.
