HF Habs: The Martin St Louis Thread

That's not MSL fault if Habs are not able to win against freaking Blackhawks. After 2-0, Guhle take a stupid penalty and makes CHI alive. It's easy to blame coach, but if Habs are not able to win against CHI after 2-0, it's the players fault.
Guhle takes a 2min penalty IN THE FIRST PERIOD

and you blame him for the upcoming 45 min + OT + SO?

Not all scheds are the same, sure teams can have the same total of games played, but some scheds are more compact over certain parts of the season, ours in particalur has been brutal down the stretch.

The team has been playing playoff hockey since the 4 nations break with little relief.

It has a lot more to do with having them all play at their max. This is what happens to weak rosters that play over their heads. They get drained quicker because they compensate for their shortcomings by going to the max. It's funny that a know-it-all (not you) doesn't have a clue about this.

Some systems are more taxing than others too. Makes me think of 18-19 team. It can also be mental fatigue. Our roster is young and keeps on learning. Same way someone training for a new job or position is very tired after a day of work.

Looks at the end of my comment. I blame the players... we can't win after 2-0 lead. Guhle make CHI alive with his stupid penalty. But it's playerS fault if we don't win... not MSL fault.

I think people need to cool it on the MSL hate. It’s not like we’re the Rangers, who were expected to be in the playoffs and contend. We should not have been anywhere close to where we are now.

So in your mind any criticism of our coach means that we hate him.......ok.

This is the excuse for thursday night when the roller coaster is over and we are out the playoff..

Loll! joking guys

I love msl , and we are lucky to have him . He has been there , he has won , just his speach l
It's just the incredulous absurdity of it all that makes me react I guess, ofcourse you're right.
we both have been for a while on this forum, (i not as much as you), so absurdity we have seen, but the thing that i cant comprehend is how good or lets say better things are going , yet some are so miserable and shit on all....
In my 50's i can say this is the most exciting this team/coaching and management has looked since i can remember... and even if they miss i would say the same....
now lets go crush carolina and make the playoff so we have the same ones complaining jump on the bus again.....

Not saying that just used that word cause it was the first that came to mind, but he should be free from some criticism. For the most part if we had any other coach, last night would’ve been a meaningless game and this whole subforum would have their sights on the draft and next season.

Exactly we whine when our d-men are soft as hell. Guhle plays 100% every games and we somehow reward him of that lost.
the hit he made wins you games in the playoffs and yes even when you leading 2-0.
What he will learn is to time it better, or to realise it is a regular season game and ref dont let as much pass

Are we the only team thats played 6 games in 10 nights this season ? Come on man. The schedule is the schedule.

We're talking about this particular stretch no? And why the team looks wiped, at this moment, just as other teams probably suffered the same in their compacted parts. Stop being so disingenuous.

Boys sure looked great after 4 nations break no? Wonder why that was?

Fatigue doesn't somehow leave the body magically. Its accumulated.

Meaning that every team has played around the same amount of games and travelled around the same amount and had around the same amount of rest days since the 4-nations break. The energy excuse does not work, plain and simple.

The NHLPA is in charge of making sure each players get enough rest, theres actual laws involved.

We were out hit 25-12 by Chicago. It gets more physical this time of year and getting hit tires out a team
