I heard Bourne yesterday on the Kyper and Bourne show quote a stat he had read.

In the last calendar year TML PP is 29th in the league.
Not counting playoffs where they were even worse

How can a PP with the best goal scorer on the planet and one of the best passers in the league be that horrible?

Everything wrong with this team can be boiled to the same issue that has plagued this group since day 1.

The core is always looking for an opportunity to take the foot off the gas and coast. They don't want to work hard, and if they can find a reason not to they won't.

Bad team - "2 pts in the bag, don't need to try"

3-1 Series lead vs a shitty Habs team - "they'll roll over for us"

4 goal lead vs a bottom feeder - "games over"

Zamboni driver in the net - "phew, I didn't want to play anymore anyway"

Garbage Powerplay - "nice, they only have 4 guys. We can take it easy now"

Even that injury to Woll in the playoffs. Have you ever seen a team just stop playing and let the other team score like that because the game was "over" before?
