the whole site is not what it used to be.. I can almost pinpoint the moment that it started to go down hill--When Eklund was made a legit source--that was the straw that broke the camels back for many posters who were already grumpy about the place. Quite a few good posters turned their glass over on the bar and said "I am done".

I used to love the lounge but for a few years now it has been more or less run by bullies and sheep who mock and ridicule any attempt to have an actual interesting thread

The travel threads were used to have been great

- Hates bullies
- Calls people sheep

I think part of the reason why it is not the same is because it became too cliquish.

I like you all and was invited so it's not bitterness. However, I can see how it could be intimidating to some.

As a result we saw "characters" emerge as a way to break through. IMO that hurt the content. It used to be more about everyone's random thoughts or discussions about odd current events. It just seems forced now.

Oh, and we have like zero females here now and that also hurts the content.

edit: It also used to be a place where people who needed advice or were struggling with some issues wouldn't be ignored or mocked.

I may come off as an ahole, I am. But I'm really also the type who will take the time to lend an ear, sympathys, advice, and encouragement.
