Holloway another goal and assist tonight, Blues suddenly in WC contention. Broberg would get exposed by Skinner but Holloway would be the team's 3rd best forward rather easily this season.
Holloway has more G/min this season than even Connor McDavid. Take how you will Oilers fans.

Holloway also has more EVG than McDavid this season. Sobering.

Holloway just reached 20 goals. Still scratch my head when I see him in a Blues Jersey. Idiotic asset management by us
Not sure why everyone is complaining. You take Skinner, Arv plus Janmark you get 20 goals as well. 3 players , 8.5 mil in salary. That's all, no biggie. Just griping.

It’s actually crazy how bad this all worked out. We let these guys walk and both having probably having a better season than anyone on either side of this deal imagined. Meanwhile Skinner and Arvidsson our two big signings have had arguably their worst seasons ever in the NHL.

At the time of the offer sheet, I thought the best decision was to let both players go. Both of them hadn't proven anything and I didn't think that they, especially Holloway, would break out in this manner. I remember that Ryan McLeod was in a very similar situation a few years ago and he took a one-year contract around $800,000 to $900,000. Why couldn't Holloway do the same? Holloway hadn't proven more than McLeod in his time here. Then, we offered McLeod a contract for similar to what Holloway signed for in St. Louis and he did shit all, making me think that Holloway would follow a similar path to McLeod, Yamamoto, Puljujarvi, and many others than we overpaid for a small sample size.

Now, it's looking like we made a horrible decision. Was Holloway mismanaged and hence unhappy here? Is this yet another case of not knowing what we have in a player? Or was it another case of a player flourishing once he leaves this organization? I have no idea what to think anymore.
No this is a case of them like most of the fans here not valuing prospects and ypung players at all and it is still happening. Fans saying we need to win now and wanting to empty the cupboards including savoie to get players that may have no chemistry here. We lost Kesselring for a dismal showing of Bjugstad. We lost good assets for a dismal showing of Anasthaou. It was a no brainer that Holloway would pass Henrique and Janmark this year in terms of effectiveness. Even if it was not going to be in points just the speed and hitting and forecheck is whatvis lacking here. Young players with good pedigree increase in effectiveness leaps and bounds one year to the next while the 33+ old players decrease year over year. We are seeing that with Ekholm now unfortunately

Wonder what it would take to bring Holloway back?
St Louis isn’t stupid enough to move a big, fast, 23 year old who can score. 20 goals, 46 points so far.

Doug Armstrong and Jeff Jackson in the same room…Jackson is definitely NOT the smartest person even though he probably thinks he is.

You’re not putting that egg back together.

Placeholder HFaccount to be used in an emergency?

Asset management in fine form as always. I'm sure the picks we got in return will be used well....
