I’ve pooped out better looking things than our play tonight.

Kinda pissed off we had a back to back last night. Seems unnecessary.

The whole schedule seems unnecessary.

It's not because of Prague. The team we played in Prague has still played 2 fewer games than us. And it'll be 3 fewer games than us after we play tomorrow night and stay 3 fewer games behind us the entire week when both teams play Thursday and Saturday.

And then Buffalo has off from Sunday through Tuesday, we have off Sunday through Wednesday. We'll still be 2 more games played than them in about 10 days from now. This has nothing to do with Prague and starting the season over there.

That long break after Tampa on Saturday (only 4 whole days without a game) can't come soon enough.

I think that's our longest stretch of days without a game this year, other than the four nations thing, where the entire league doesn't play.

I know that. But I also remember last season, where we couldn't get any traction because we again and again had "clunkers" and "trap games" like this one.

Yeah but last season is last season.

Last season we had Vitek who stunk and Lindy.

This season will be different.....(probably)

I’ll be honest. I rather have a bit of a compressed schedule now than March where you have to play 4 games every 6 days.

I mean, Vanecek was a part of the best Devils team most of this young fanbase has seen and led us back to the playoffs with a roar. I don't have ill will towards him, I don't even hate Blackwood. It's evident that Rogalski is the issue and until that's sorted we won't have elite goaltending on a consistent basis. Allen looks great but even he's had some horrendous nights in net for us.

I’ll have the GDT up at some point in the morning.

I’m too tired and it will lack if I try to make it to have up around midnight.

And I’ve been going to bed earlier. I haven’t watched a single late hockey game this year, other than the three we played in on the road trip. And the Edmonton one wasn’t even that late.

Ben Scrivens has the record for most saves in a shutout, if I recall correctly.

I think it was 59 saves and it was actually against the Sharks when he was with the Oilers about 10 or 11 years ago.

I always think of that every time a bad goalie has a shutout or some monster game.

How many people here honestly remember Ben Scrivens? I think a lot of people may remember him more for some not so great comments about Taylor Hall and calling out his character or work ethic (even I don’t remember the exact comments) at some point after Hall was traded. And Scrivens didn’t even play for Edmonton anymore by that point and was already out of the NHL. He just turned 38 in September and isn’t listed as playing anywhere in any league since the KHL in 2017-2018.

It’s funny that he’s the answer for a trivia question like that and not someone like Hasek or Luongo in his first stint with the Panthers, or at least a guy who won a Vezina.

Even Jose Theodore in his Hart/Vezina season would have been a fulfilling answer to that question.
