You can question Seth on alot of things. His leadership isn't one of them.

Seth is a good hockey player, he gets destroyed in here because of his contract and what people think the Hawks should get from that money. Is he good value for the money? No.

We hear this in here with someone constantly (Bickell, Seabrook, Toews, others). He is really no different than before he signed the extension, blame Bowman not Seth. Was he supposed to say no to the extension?

Agreed. Then give it to Bedard when Jones leaves. I get not wanting to have a Captain for that dog shit team last year but we're clearly moving forward from that so we should operate like a normal team.

So if Jones remains here for 6 years, he should be captain the whole time?

Foligno makes the most sense. Everyone views him as the captain, and he's the locker room dad.

He's also only going to be there for 2 seasons, and then likely retires. So you have a set timeline for when he passes the torch to Bedard.

I will give Jones the captaincy if he agrees to never see a second of power play time ever again.
