You can win a cup with your second line Center giving you 60 points and solid two way play. Anyone who thinks other wise is really delusional. Go look at every other stanley cup of winner outside of Pittsburgh who had Malkin as their 2nd line Center. See if their 2nd line Center is giving them anywhere close to 60 points

Obviously, if we win the cup it doesn't matter, and injured last year is a typical excuse being made after to compensate. He wasn't injured the previous season (except for the 7 games with the finger injury) and then he just played bad, including the playoffs where he choked in game 5. Hes playing similarly poor now

he had an oblique injury that he played through the entire season and playoffs. Well documented
