Can't hit anyone when you constantly have the puck. If you haven't noticed, the Leafs are a dominant possession team.

You see how they played Hyman .? That’s how you win playoff games. Nothing dirty but good old push back.

that is totally fine, idk if you’ve realized but Tavares the last two seasons with the leafs was one of the leafs best PP scorers. Him and Marner were amazing on the PP. the PP hasn’t scored in a ton of games, that is heavily affecting his production, not to mention they had him on the 2nd PP unit to start the year

His EVS production is heavily down, including his EVS goals. Think he has 4-5 this year in total. There is no possible justification for Tavares production this year. Even ignoring his crazy contract, he should be playing at a ppgish level but is pacing around 62 right now. He's producing at a level we expected in the last 2 years of his deal in year 3.

60 points from your star UFA signing is no where near enough. First year 88 last year 77ish pace, this year 60ish, he should be leading that second line with nylander but instead both are struggling badly on converting their chances. Tavares needs to be better at 5 v 5, he should give 55-65 ESP and 20-25 PPP for 70-80 points rn he is no where near good enough
