I'm hoping we start seeing some additional rotations after this series (especially if we win tonight).

Would be nice to see guys like Sandin, Lilj, Anderson and Robertson start seeing some action while testing of bottom line/pair, even give some time to guys nursing injuries.[/QUOTE Our top Two prospects are having a rough year with injuries hampering their development

wtf this site just went bazonkerson me lol

I find it strange multiple people in this thread have said we have no one timer threats. That's simply not true at all.

Matthews and Nylander have fantastic one timers. They just aren't getting setup for them.

Hutch has been good so far this year, exactly what you want from your 3rd (4th coming into the year) stringer.

Anyone suggesting otherwise has little to no hockey knowledge.
Could argue he’s one of the better #3s league-wide. Goalie depth isn’t our issue, goalie health is killing us.

With us playing only teams in our own division, it feels like every game that we play, is a critical game to win. It certainly has added a fun element to the season. Even though they'd go back to pretty balanced schedules, I'd love to keep the divisions like this moving forward. The Canadian rivalries just seem more meaningful to me.

Let's take down the Jets, Go Leafs Go.

Matty's one timer is elite. Be interesting to see the shooting percentage for one timers for our forwards. That should paint a better picture.

I kinda like our rivals in the Atlantic, I'd want to get back to that as soon as possible. Geographically, it just won't make any sense for our Leafs to play in Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, more often then in Buffalo or Detroit.

One other thing to think about if this division becomes permanent, where does Seattle go? One division is going to have 9 teams? Makes no sense. They'll just go back to the regular ones so they have 8 in each division. Makes the most sense.

Minnesota are basically honorary Canadians anyway... we can take them... or maybe Buffalo, given cross border shopping (remember when we could do cross border shopping?), and half their fans come from the Niagara region, plus they are likely to be a terrible team for a long time.

It would be nice to win this one too to pay back the Jets for that 3 game set earlier this year. With Campbell in, I’m confident.

GLG!!!

The problem is not with how Hutch had performed as a 3rd stringer. He's doing fine in that role.

The problem is our goalies haven't been healthy. Ideally Hutch, as the third should not play any games this season. But he played 7 out of 36 games so far. Same as Campbell.

If the 3rd guy will continue to play 20% of the games for the remainder of the season and into the playoffs, then we need to get a better goalie to be our "2b" goalie, if not better.

Our goalie situation is bad. A lot of people aren't sure if Campbell will play tonight because he has never played 2 games in a row this season. That is not reliable health.

Dubas has until April 12th to fix the situation. If we end up playing Hutch in the playoffs and we end up losing because we can't expect more from a 3rd stringer then it's on Dubas. He can't be surprised with the goalie health problems in the playoffs if it's been a problem all season.

Joe Thornton, that useless shit is on the PP over Galchenyuk.

That's f***ing laughable. Malhotra needs to be fired ASAP.

Galchenyuk was the best player on the 2nd power play unit last night.

sadly it’s more of a respect thing than an earned thing with Thornton. Can’t play a regular shift but make him feel like a part of things on the PP

The other question then is would those teams even want this? You can't force them. I guess Seattle is also welcome to join us if they like :naughty:

Hutch has given up 8 goals on 54 shots in his last 3 outings, that’s an 85.2% - good isn’t the word I’d use, he’s been adequate.

Adequate; Sufficient to satisfy a requirement or meet a need.
