Defensively brutal tonight. Barrie is cooked. It's time to give a guy from the Wranglers a look. Kuznetsov, Solovyov, or Grushnikov. Can't be worse.
and why is our schedule so bad? Flames travelling all over the place, playing back to backs, and another team just waiting for us back home.
Bounce back next game.

Can't believe they didn't challenge that 5th goal. Pringle must have spilled his drink all over his laptop.
I think there is a fair argument that this should have been a penalty for goaltender interference under 69.2.

But 69.2 is exempt from coach's challenge because you can't challenge penalties. So to challenge this you would need to expect Toronto to rule that Wolf had a play on that puck if he hadn't been yeeted into the corner. I think they looked hard at the replay and determined that Toronto would likely conclude the opposite.

You challenge it anyways at that score. Unless you can tell me with a straight face you could see the Flames somehow scoring another 4 goals in that game. Wolf with his super sonic speed still had a chance on that puck.

We are extremely disappointing when playing EN, we need to try to fix it or simply don't pull the goalie as it results in opposition scoring 9/10.

Happy for Farabee, on the whole, we looked completely disjointed.

Time to move on from Rooney, Bean and Barrie. Try AHL guys first- Morton, Solo and Kuz. Otherwise opt for a trade.

There is definitely that argument.

But if the Flames challenge there expecting to be wrong, they are basically choosing to make Wolf and the boys face another PP. I can understand them not wanting to do that.

Yeah, that was bound to happen.
Wolf was mortal, which means Calgary was beatable.

First line looked stinky.
Barrie should really never be playing.

In fact there's a bunch of guys who should never really be playing.

On to the next one, and a hope for a rebound game.

Yeah, they were definitely staring at the screens for a bit. The refs also seemed to take their time to do the faceoff, so probably were expecting a challenge that never came.

The coaches must have concluded that we were screwed by either result and challenging would just end up being salt in the wounds.

I thought he should have had the second Nylander goal. Other ones weren’t his fault, he made some big saves, the kid’s a stud
