I don't drink alcohol, but they will be great to hold milk to dunk victory cookies in :D

Really?

David is my hero, and I appreciated Bing as well.

But, this is mid 70s shmaltz in an era that saw Sammy Davis Jr. score big with the even more sachrine "Candy Man."

Could Barry Manilow be far behind?

In the event, enjoy the clip, and Merry Merry,

My favorite Christmas Video

Bing Crosby didn't know who David Bowie was....
Great version though....

My Mom made amazing cheese scones and my daughter makes them now. We are from England where scones are a staple.....and the pronunciation is scone rhyming with "on" instead of "own". Even in England they say it differently around the country.

It is nostalgia for me. I first saw this at my parent's house and liked the way the two songs fit.

Bing Crosby didn't know who David Bowie was....
Great version though....
...and my parents didn't know who Bowie was so it made it kind of fun

Love scones with tea
I have never tried baking them....gonna try tonight

I did ajob this summer for 2 ladies, one of them loved to bake...When I went to do the estimate she made made scones and gave me a few.....when i went back they asked if they needed to do anything to prepare for the job.....I jokingly said have the scones ready. When I got there she was baking and I left with a bag full

I like to bake but have never made scones...yet

Crossing into Maryland temp is up to 32. Saw 3 cars slid off the road in the past mile.
Safe travels! One trip we made from Toronto to Montreal was sheer ice for a good chunk of the trip and so many cars were in the ditch, we would see headlights behind us and then they would just slide away. It was terrifying. It was Christmas Eve, I felt so bad for everyone.

For anyone wanting to bake cheese scones, this recipe is tried and true. The only change we make is putting extra cheese on top instead of brushing the top with egg.

This reminds me of the time I saw the Bruins play in the Igloo, and drove home New Year’s Eve. We had a crazy snow storm follow us just about the entire drive and it added a few hours to the journey. I love driving, and long trips don’t usually bother me. I hated that drive. I hope you have an easier drive the rest of the way!

Where's Eddie Shore when you need him?

Pick up at 3:55 and wait for the story,

Pretty nice gesture and I bet they just loved making them for you.

My husband didn't travel during the pandemic, so he learned to bake. Scones are his fav to make, I think.

Surprise visitor today! My baby neice! Haven't seen her in person in 3 weeks. She loved the Santa rug. Lots of crumbs on it now haha but I don't mind, I'll vacuum later. She walked(!!!) Inside the house and gave me a big hug.

Hi, yes, that's me. You don't know how it feels to hug her again. ❤️🎄

Made it to Pensacola yesterday. Beat the crazy weather, but not the crazy idiot drivers. They were everywhere. I almost got sideswiped twice. Then these guys who had passed us earlier "in a hurry" ended up in a wreck maybe just a minute or two ahead of us.

Never seen so many tailgaters in my life. Also saw a guy in an Equinox pass somebody on the right shoulder. :help:

safe travels and Happy Birthday again, weather preventing mother in law to come over from the Sunshine Coast for Christmas which sucks, total uncertainty about whether we`ll be able to get to the father in law`s house come Sunday as he and my step mother in law live in an area with wacky roads, little snow clearing/salting or sanding happens and they lose power consistently so we shall see.

Everyone be safe out there
