The History of the Boston Bruins

I worked this game in a previous life  Getting the TV38 truck to Quebec was always 'fun' dealing with Northern Maine roads

Le Cosilee was an electric venue - Fred Cusick, Dave Shea and Sean McDonough call the action from 1986 - enjoy

One of my biggest sports regrets is not seeing a Habs - Nords game at Le Colissee

I almost didn't post this because of Bob Lobel's repeated, extremely annoying and uncharacteristic interruptions of the great Richard Johnson, curator of the New England Sports Museum and co-author of "The Boston Bruins: Blood, Sweat and 100 Years."

I don't know what got into Lobel. (He even said to himself aloud, "Shut up Bob and let Richard talk," yet continued to interrupt with lame, time wasting questions and observations.)

In the event, Richard Johnson, whom I first encountered as an incisive commentator for the surprisingly comprehensive 2009 DVD "The History of the Boston Bruins," previously posted and free to view on YouTube,

Eddie Shore is the most underrated player in NHL history and I know that because he's never brought up in the GOAT discussion even though he should be.
Four Hart Trophies as a defenseman.

True, there was no Norris Trophy at the time, but to date, only Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe have won the Hart more times than Eddie Shore.

My Parents were at the game. Lots of bad pictures (I'm sure affected by many adult beverages) Here is one right after the goal.

Crazy that it takes until mid June to finally crown a champion. When does it end? How long before the plauers greed catches up with corporate greed and there's only a month long off season?

What "player's greed"? NHL players don't get paid for the playoffs.

Did you really just blame the players for greed?

I'd wager they'd all prefer a shorter season even if it means a bit of a pay cut. It's the owners who never would.
