Don't tell me the league goes back to if a skate lace is in the crease they'll disallow a goal. Those were pathetic years and Smyth could've had a 50 goal season.

The league pursuing a black and white standard that says if you make ANY contact with the goalie, no matter if it impacts the play or not, that the goal is called back is an all time short sighted move, even for this incredibly stupid league.

This is worse than the late 90s foot in crease rule.

I'm sorry, but something is up right now with the Oilers and the league.
This has been going on for years. The league wants the Oil to fail so McD leaves to go down south. It's why we got 8 b2bs in the final 7 weeks of the season so we came into playoffs on fumes, why these calls never go our way....etc. Call me a tinfoil hat boi but I truly believe this is happening to some extent.

Stu Grimson saying that Perry wasn't allowing Vladar to go side to side, wtf is he watching? Complaining that he's screening the goalie. What a dumbass.

When Eric Francis is agreeing it should have been a goal then you know the Ref is f***ed in the head.

NHL is doing this because they can’t trust that their officials have a level of competence basic enough to make the correct judgement more often or not on goalie interference.

Professional referees can’t be trusted to watch a video review and be right more often than not. They’re that bad.

With that call I’d bet 5% of this seasons goals could be called back… Its common for goalies to push played out of the crease
The key is the 4 seconds Vladar had to re set

The goal must have been called back because they felt Vladar was blocked from skating to where he wanted to go. Even that's lame though. It went in because it was a great tip, not because the goalie was impeded.
