The Weird: The number of people clamoring for a line up change when your team has won 7 out of 8 games.
if you cant watch the game and see that not everyone is performing at the same level then im not sure what help can be given to you

Because if you watch those 8 games you will see the "in spite of." People just want to see the drag chains replaced with drive chains. Makes sense really.

Why would everyone be preforming at the same level? And how does putting in inferior players help your perceived problems?

I don't see any drive chains on the bench

Missed the game but watching/listening made me realize that Ive liked Rob Ray this year. He actually gets the words out hes trying to say(for the most part). He actually critiques some guys here and there but that’s because he knows he’ll compliment them later. He loves when Tage and that line is on their game. You hear his little gawks of excitement whenever they do something awesome. He makes the broadcast bearable. Gives hope that Dunleavy will eventually figure it out. I didnt understand what everyone was talking about with Dan until i was listening to game on the radio while driving back home and I had no clue what was going on. With RJ, i could picture everything and could even anticipate when a chance was coming.

i dont even know how this relates to my post in any way

When Tage has the puck in front of the net, it's like time slows down. unbelievable composure.

Ugly:
Faceoffs. they need to bring in a dedicated faceoff coach; whats goose doing these days? still coaching junior?

Neither do I, which is why I want KA to burn the drift wood and go get some. Olofsson, Aspland, Hino, Bryson, and Fitz all need to become addition by subtraction, and then we need to do some addition by......addition. I am not saying its as easy as snapping the fingers, but we know the ceiling on these guys, and it is not as high as we need to raise it.

Well im all for upgrades

So no games for rest of week?

Every other forward on this team is either producing or fully bought in and serving a purpose. Krebs is taking it on the chin with the 4th line spot and making the most of it. Opportunities will follow. Mitts is still making some bizarre decisions but at least he's playing with a chip on his shoulder.

None of that from VO. None of it. It's like he doesn't want to be here.
I thought Krebs and Jost in the 3rd were quite effective. Didn't notice VO.
G: Uber Pecker
Tage/Tuch/Skinner
Power quietly making some magic happen. I'll excuse his rookie mistakes.

B: Trade for some defensmen Kevyn? Please? Grinding our top 3 defenders into dust by playing them 30 minutes each a night before we even enter our contention window is not a long term plan for organizational success.

U: The Mitts hot takes in the GDT and in here after he "turned the puck over". When what actually happened is that he was tripped and tackled from behind. Kid was dynamite with back to back dominant shifts late in the 3rd to tie it up.

edit: Winning the final faceoff with 16 seconds left but the rest of the skaters standing around watching the Caps scoop up the loose puck.
Agreed.
Thought it was a strong game from Mitts. Not sure what some people were watching.
Same.

Ray is having a great year.
The audible background cheer and shock (don't know from whom - it sounded like multiple people including Ray) when the GWG was scored in BOS was authentic emotion.
I've posted before that Dunleavy does absolutely nothing to aid the radio listeners, and in fact confuses them, often going ~1000 feet of end to end puck movement between noting where the puck is on the ice surface. If he hasn't figured it out by now, he never will. His chopiness, however, seems reduced with more flow to his play-by-play narrative. Still don't believe he's the best available for the job, and no personal ill-will intended toward him, we Sabre fans were spoiled for ~45+ years.

Tuch does things that cover for Skinner's chaos and Thompson's as yet underdeveloped d-zone game. It's wild that 60% or so of the payroll for that line is just Skinner this year.
I kind of liken Tuch to Scott Hartnell in style of play, but I don't know if that necessarily makes Skinner Jeff Carter or Thompson Claude Giroux, etc.
