GBU The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - PLAYOFF POSITION, Sabres 3, Panthers 1; 2/24/23

I hope they returned Anderson to his hyperbaric chamber until his next start. I’m got tired watching him and he’s 2 years older than me. Also Samuelsson probably is gonna get at least fined for the boarding on Reinhart. Should have been a major.

seriously, how does dahlin not get an assist on the 3rd goal? Am I missing something? No Panther even touched the puck, much less was in possession

I'm going to be slightly upset if someone (probably Skinner) didn't chirp Reinhardt about playoff standings.

Yes, I know FLA has been in the past couple seasons but not like they've done anything once they're there.

When is the last time the Sabres were in a playoff spot in late February? Seriously, when was it? like a decade ago? and with a realistic chance of making it none the less. They actually control their own destiny right now. They could even take the 1st wildcard spot if they win enough of their remaining games.

I've been saying all season that just staying in the race till the end would be a win, and i still feel that way. But now that they are in a wildcard spot, I sure am hoping they can hold onto it! Playoffs this year would be such an amazing and unexpected surprise.

Anderson was unreal tonight. That is probably the best game hes played in a Sabres uniform. He looked 10 years younger! lol Not really. But he did look refreshed tonight in net and in his post game interview. This is very likely his last season before retirement. I say, if he feels up to playing and keeps playing anywhere near like he did tonight, roll with it. Let him go out with a bang. He looked like the veteran goalie this team has needed. Great rebound control. and He just helped calm buffalo in their own end.

December?

The Great - Beating the Cats in Sunrise. Amazing to see.

- Taking two on the road b2b against pain in the ass dirty divisional rivals. Seriously, both the Florida teams can go f*** themselves.

- The resiliency of this squad. I was at the bottom after that 4 game skid but they pulled me back in. This team is a ride and a half.

I've been consistent in the vocalization of my enjoyment of this Sabres team, their philosophy, and their resultant development since Adams took over as the real GM and Granato was handed the reins as coach. To me, what we are experiencing here is just as enjoyable and exciting as the growth and development of the Sabres as an expansion team back in 1970s to a Stanley Cup Finalist in only five years. To look at the standings today and see that the Sabres occupy a wildcard playoff spot makes me so incredibly happy. I know that the end of the season is 25 games away and that anything can happen - so I just want to enjoy this moment, realizing that whatever may happen this year - there are even more better things to happen over the next few years

Go Sabres!
