Nah Bednar was good this year! I'd be surprised if I saw his name pop up here in a serious fashion!

Julien, Hitchcock and Vigneault are the 3 Jack Adams winners whose teams missed the playoffs. Canadiens and Rangers messes were largely management's doing (or undoing of the team) while Dallas barely missed the playoffs. Torts, Boudreau and Trotz are the other 3 Jack Adams winners who coached last season. I would say of those 3, Boudreau's team underperformed while the other two exceeded expectations. With that said, Julien's performance was the most underwhelming. Injuries aside, that team should have been better than bottom-5.
