Honestly, I'm okay with it specifically because the hit in question was put on Hagel. For some bizarre reason the league hates these retaliatory hits, but the truth is that they're just about the only way to stop plugs from doing this to star players.

I think this is the way to do it. Instead of targeting their stars, send a direct message to the plug who did it.

It's not politically correct. But that ofc doesn't stop the NHL from marketing games with the footage of those "dirty" hits. If those hits were reprehensible then they wouldn't be showcased at all.

In the end it just boils down to the Panthers being a pain in the ass in the playoffs and only few teams can match that. The Panthers are a good team and we should feel bad about it.
