Washington is also 6-1-3 in their last 10, Columbus is 8-2-0 and we’re 5-3-2. If that pace keeps up, we’re out, Columbus is in.

Yeah, if that pace keeps up Columbus finishes the year with 109 points.

While that’s fair, we also entered this game with Columbus within shouting distance of 3rd. If we continue our .500 play, we’re going to lose that divisional spot.

Well the Devils have been even worse than us lately so if both of those things continue they’ll lose that spot to the BJs not us

This one was a really fun and entertaining game. My god it feels good to be on the positive end of "other team gets a scoring chance and then we go down and immediately score." Feels like we've been the ones getting scored on in that exchange 90% of the time.

The game evidences my theory that we really are at the mid-stage in our contention window when the team's give-a-**** meter varies wildly depending on who we are playing. Watching us play so well in the game (and fortunately I missed the 1st period where we were apparently garbage) gives me hope for the playoffs. I think it's quite likely we end up 2nd or 3rd in the Metro and I like our chances against Jersey in round 1 if it comes to it.
