Comets can be thankful that St. Louis went out and signed a goalie for their AHL team before this season. The Canucks did not knowing they needed 3 keepers in Vancouver. I'm still not certain that if a keeper goes down in Vancover that DiPietro is ready to play at that level and Vancouver has no other options. Certainly can't depend on Kielly who has only played 2 AHL games with the Comets in his short pro history and had a rough go in Kalamazoo.
I don't think that was good planning, but so far so good. NHL season has a ways to go yet and with games coming one after another until the season ends it seems inevitable that there will be some bumps along the way between the pipes. Then we will see how it goes.
