For the longest time it was the other way where kids would opt for the US club if they had dual citizenship. Certain roster spots are harder to make but also these decisions on which side to play do need to be made if you get the option to play on the international stage from the world Jrs onwards. Certain requirements need to be met later should one want to change the nation they represent. Not many will flip.
