Sweden probably has the best defence in the tournament. Their weakness is their forward group due to the regression of Pettersson, Zibanejad, and Lindholm this season.

They're actually the only line to have gotten extended ozone time. Swedish forwards look pretty discombobulated right now. Willy's flying solo and Forsberg with the awful giveaway.

They do have a chance… it’s their huge edge in goaltending. We just have to not allow many chances on net.

I guess this explains Canada's strategy of just not giving up any shots.

I'm not a "hater", and I'm curious to see (some of) the hockey, without any concern for the outcome. I just don't care about international hockey because there aren't enough countries that play it seriously and the talent distribution is so uneven (not to mention the population distribution... there are more than twice as many Ohians as Finns for goodness sake). An All-Star Game with stakes would be much closer to true best-on-best.

Honestly I felt like I wouldn’t care about this tournament, it’s Olympics or bust for me and without the Russians it’s not the best on best
However
My sense of national pride is extremely high right now for obvious reason, I’ll leave it at that this forum isn’t the place for politics and I don’t want to engage in one of the only places I find comfort ( ha ha ha ha I know it’s a frantic hellscape in here more often than not )
BUT I’m now fully in, I wanna see us win. I’m happy to cheer on the Rat, the Baby, the season injured playoff performer, I want to win boyzzzzzz let’s get after it
