Firing Saleh was the right move. The talent on this team has improved. The record should be better. Hopefully Hackett doesn’t call any more plays.

We suffered through Zach Wilson and many others before him.

Getting Rodgers seemed too good to be true. I foolishly drank the Kool Aid and should’ve known better being a long suffering Jets fan. The franchise gave our new QB carte blanche and let him bring along additional pieces which to a man have been awful moves. That includes Cobb, Lazard and above all Hackett.

If Hackett didn’t get fired over the past offseason then I don’t see it happening until Rodgers is gone. Spoiler alert: That’s this upcoming offseason.

Firing Saleh was the right move at the end of last season. Doing it now is clown shoes.

But what can you expect from a meddling, incompetent owner who cares more about being in the headlines than winning football. The Jets aren’t winning anything this year or any time soon.

Trying to project what the Jets are going to do is foolish. While not as publicly meddling or outwardly shitty like a Jerry Jones, David Tepper or Dan Snyder...Woody Johnson is flat-out a bad owner and the Jets futility will continue as long as he's around.

My dream would be to hire Vrabel, but I know that just isn't going to happen.

In an episode of Hard Knocks Off-season Joe Schoen said with Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux rushing the QB “even I can play corner back”

It was determined that was a lie

Signing up for Hard-Knocks and proceeding to make yourself look super unimpressive is an interesting move.

I watched 2 episodes, him and his staff sounded like me and my friends discussing players. Not guys who get paid to scout and evaluate players for a living. But hey, he satisfies the - white, milquetoast, finance vest wearing - requirement to be in the NYG front office.

As a life long Cowboy fan. I would like to throw my hat in the ring. I know the Cowboys win in the regular season most years, but lets be honest here, Jerry Jones has made this team a joke for the better part of 30 years. We may win said regular season games, but, they don't have a trophy for that.

As a battered Isles fan I couldn’t help but see this as an analogy to Lou’s master plan of getting the Isles into the playoffs the past few years.

Ok you got there. Then what?
The isles seem to get in almost every year so I don’t see getting in the playoffs as much of an accomplishment. However the jets have such a long drought I’d take getting in at this point.

It’s so hard to be a Jets fan.

Rodgers is done obviously. Stick a fork in him. To add insult to injury, we have to live with Geno and Darnold showing that they’re competent NFL QBs.

What’s next, a comeback for Zach Wilson? I know that’s inconceivable but that would be hilarious in a bizarre sort of way.

I had to give your post a like because I feel the same way but frankly he’s going to the grave as the Jets’ owner.

He’s a guy that made his money the old fashioned way. He inherited it. He’s not a businessman trying to maximize the value of this investment. A sports franchise is his toy. It’s something that makes him feel important and gives him something to play with.

You are probably right but Woody is also 77. He could be gone the next 4 years as ambassador again. Let’s hope that happens and upon return 81 year old Woody decides to sell as part of his estate planning.

I didn’t think about the ambassador angle and you may very well be right about that. Unfortunately, you probably remember who took over for him while he was gone.

Even in that situation, I’m getting Jim Carrey/Jeff Daniels vibes if you get my drift.
