Love his size & skill, but there are several guys with similar traits who should be there in the second. Wouldn't expect them to produce as much as I'd expect TH to if we could get him, but they'll also cost next to nothing in comparison.

If that's the way it breaks, just leaves more $$ for filling other holes.

There is no WR in this draft outside the Top 10 who is remotely as good as Tee Higgins.

Right, this is true today. But Higgins was a 2nd round pick, 33 overall, pretty much where we are picking (29 overall). Given a couple years we could have our own Higgins, instead of paying a fortune for a guy who shows up about 14 games per year (70 games played, 62 starts in 5 years).

Bottom line is if Cincy wants him they will pay him, so he maybe was never really available to us in the first place.

Didn't say there was.

There are guys who are 6'4" with big catch radiuses (radii?) who can run routes and catch 50/50 balls. And who won't cost $25M-$30M.

As for Godwin being a better fit, not necessarily. I'd gladly take him if the price is right, but he's not that different from what we've got in TML.

Even if we do sign Godwin, shouldn't preclude us from considering a Jayden Higgins, Tre Harris or Savion Williams if one or more are available when we pick at 61.

1. We hit on draft with a franchise QB - everything else flows from here
2. We went broad with players who performed. Some will get big contracts elsewhere. some will get contracts here. But they mostly worked out for us

Now we do that again. I don’t want to break the bank on any one player. I would like ot invest on the OL though. More than WR. Or any skill position. Invest in lines!

Overall be more about raising the overall team over any one position/player. We can get better seemingly everywhere. They’ll hopefully place special emphasis on front seven and OL. Everything flows from there once you’ve got your guy at QB.

I did like Higgins if we went for a splash.

I would be over the moon if we could sign Stanley away from BAL and get Grant from MICH at 29. LT and massive run-stuffer, then the rest of our picks and plenty more $$$ available to fill other holes.

But if we're going to overtake PHI, we really need to beef up both sides of the LOS.

Then before that you had Geron Christains of the world

I am a huge fan of drafting IOL in rounds 3-5 because it seems to have a higher success rate for solid starters like Wes Schweitzer

But geez .. have we wiffed

Is there a draft simulator that would show what the Skins (or any team) drafts would look like if they just picked BPA off like espns big board vs what the team did draft?

2018 Derrius Guice

Remember '08 ... Vinny took Devin Thomas, Fred Davis and Malcolm Kelly ... and we all fought and argued which of the 3 would be the biggest beast.

Bad drafting and No QB = no chance

OMG, that '08 draft "haul"... Even at the time I was screaming "there's ONE ****ing football, you assholes!"

But, yeah, everyone knows the way you build a contender is by by building from the outside in. And the only thing better than a mediocre outside player is THREE of them.

Generally we're pretty simpatico, NR, but I swear to god, you're slam-dancing on the edge of the "BLOCK" pool, man! I don't have enough Elmo band-aids for all these scabs you're ripping off.
