Until McCann hits that next level re: consistency like Rust has, he'll just be that streaky guy that looks great for a month then shit for a few weeks before repeating. You just have to hope he hits one of his good stretches at the right time.

And if not, then at least he's doing enough to support Malkin and Kapanen and not killing too much.

Even bad tonight, he's the one who sprung Kap on the 2nd goal.

Eh, I don't even see the 200ft game from McCann if I'm being honest. He's not like, Jake-tier bad without the puck, but he's certainly not early Rust in that aspect of his game. Streakiness, absolutely, but early Rust was also a buzzsaw. McCann ain't that, sadly.

Ha... you know damned well the other unit would be out there for 1:40 f***ing around and the Malkin unit would get the ass end every time.
