I invaded from both the north and south at the same time.

My parents are from the north (Cincinnati and Pittsburgh) but they were stationed in South Carolina. Then we jumped the wall at the South of the Border.

And then i saw a game in Rally. I was really pissed off that the Canes took the goalie (the drunk wifebeating one at the time?) out of the net at the end of the game. But i still root for them 20 years later.

Fun reading on a very hot Sunday afternoon here in North Carolina.

Wasn't born in North Carolina because for some odd reason my dad, as a marine, was stationed in Miami Beach at the time, but have spent most of my life in NC and my people have lived in NC for generations.

Living in NC made me a fan of college basketball, but became a passionate Hurricanes fan during the first and second Stanley cup runs.

My first hockey game was Rangers in Madison Square Garden. Embarrassed the friends who took me by saying out loud, "Wow I didn't know they substituted so often."
