The English Lower League thread (Part 2)

Sunderland won the first leg away at Coventry, their first away win there since 2007 or around that time.

Based on the first leg performances, hard to see either of these clubs really challenging Sheff Utd for the promotion, but of course anything can happen in one-off match with sending-offs etc.

Sunderland keeper Patterson makes great save to deny Sheff Utd's Kieffer Moore's header going in, nice cross by Hamer.

And after only 6 mins Sunderland skipper Neil has to leave the match injured, replaced by Mepham.

Campbell put Utd ahead after 25 mins, chipped the keeper after Hamer found him with a pass through opponent's legs.

Wow, Sunderland takes the lead on 96th min during added time. 19-year old Tom Watson the scorer. Would love them to hold on and get promoted.

I am happy Sunderland won and promoted. I try to watch as many games as I can. I really like them because of Sunderland Til I die. At that time, I had a concussion, it was the only thing I had that I was looking forward to. It's too bad they only had two seasons.

Congratulations to Sunderland. Newcastle has their nemesis back in Sunderland and with Leeds having been promoted, they can go back to hating Manchester United more than anyone

The EPL is in a great place

Sunderlaand fans are going nuts here in London right now
Awesome! I've been to the old Roker Park many years ago and saw them play Southamption and Ipswich Town.

My heartiest congratulations to Sunderland AFC, Hamburger SV, and 1.FC Koln, all large clubs with significant histories on their promotions. The teams of Jim Montgomery, Uwe Seeler, and Wolfgang Overath, respectively.

Preferred that Sunderland won but Sheffield United have only themselves to blame, missed a lot of chances + had a disallowed goal which in the normal Championship season would have been given (no VAR)

Charlton lead starting the 2nd half of the League One playoff, nice freekick goal but maybe not the best wall; Leyton much better in the 2nd half so far

With five minutes to play there is a ref delay, their communication system is not working, quite length already. Should be probably 10 mins of injury time
