Did a double take at the font thinking this was fake. I guess Hronek was dealing with multiple ailments - two months until he’s set to be back.

Guess he was playing with the lower body injury then since the injury that took him out of the lineup was the upper body one? Good he can take these 2 months and come back fully healthy hopefully instead of playing with the lower body injury

8 weeks is survivable.

"if i'm going to be out this long might as well get this other surgery,"

8 weeks is shorter than I thought- good news.

Strange that it was surgery on a lower body injury and not his shoulder though. Here’s hoping he’s 100% when he’s back. Maybe that’s what’s been holding him back from taking a slap shot

Some minor injury updates from Dhaliwal today.
  • Demko is close to starting; 1pm start was not ideal
  • Miller is 1-2 more practices before he’s in the line-up
  • Like Forbort a lot and want him back; isn’t too far away

"Demko is still close, they just didn't want to start him on this homestand."

"Demko will probably start on the next homestand as it wasn't worth bringing him on a 2 game road trip."

"Demko will probably start in 2025 as the team felt uncomfortable putting him in against sea monster teams."

Canucks Injuries
  • Broke his silence on the Canucks because he is trying to do the right thing
  • Not a lot of information on the injuries so he asked around to get what information he could
  • Was told the Hughes & Pettersson injuries are not considered serious
  • Got a text from someone that said “Does week-to-week qualify as not serious?”
  • With Hughes, thinks this is more about caution
  • Looking back at the Demko injury, was a bad idea of the media to put timelines on his return
  • Doesn’t get a sense of a tonne of worry that this is going to be a long-term injury
Canucks During This Time
  • Believes in this time of tribulation, they will find out who the Canucks can rely on
  • Some people may not be capable of taking the opportunity
  • Will be interesting to see who steps up

Rick Dhaliwal on Blue Sky:

Wouldn’t surprise me if Quinn Hughes comes back sooner than all these week to week to week timelines.
