News Article: The Details Matter to Miller

He didn't have much of a chance with anything tonight, it was another good performance.

If Backes is done, then I think only Blues fans understand just how big a loss it is. He is a #1C, people might look at his offensive numbers and disagree, but they would be wrong. We might have a 2-0 lead in this series, but if Backes isn't coming back then we are going to need Miller to steal a game if we want to progress.

all three of those goals scored were all out of Miller's control. He had no chance with those goals. If Backes is done for the series lets see Miller pick up the mantle and the lead the team to the second round.

The Blues need to block more shots from the Hawks defensemen blasting away from the point, they have scored 5 of their 6 goals on Miller in the first 2 games in this series, that's pathetic.

To be fair, the wingers have been a little loose on the point to help out forward coverage, because let's be honest, Chicago has dangerous forwards.

To be honest. I would rather see them clear the lane of Hawks and themselves and let Miller see the shot. If he can see it there is no way a point shot is going to beat him clean. All three of the goals scored on him yesterday were deflections off Blues players trying to block the shot.

He has a .926 save percentage so far in the playoffs against the second best offense in the league this year.

Agreed. How many excellent scoring chances has he stopped so far? Crawford let a similar goal in from Jackman's OT winner in game 2.

Miller did not lose game 3 for us, the pucks did not find the back of the Hawks net.

Now, is he worth the 6+ million to keep or should the Blues look to spend the money on center is a question for the offseason.

He hasn't shown me he's worth $6.3 million per year and also worth driving Jake Allen away to want to be traded.
