the whole tocchet thing makes me wonder if this is a case of when NHL insider groups get too focused on a guy they know well (was a player, assistant coach, etc) and think is a "good guy" and manage to ignore the lack of any results in his coaching career etc

like why would you want tocchet to coach a team you're hoping will take the next step and compete, dude looks like he's been a dud in his head coaching so far.

He would have been a good fit for the Rangers immediately after Torts but we should want him very far away from this specific group.
