Hell baby
Malik Beasley
Bismack Biyombo
Andre Drummond

Caldwell-Pope will reach out and they'll say no thanks.
If KCP wants to come here for vet min I would think they’d be all over it, I very much doubt he’d go for league min tho. Very good player. Not convinced Beasley would be league min either

Wouldn’t shock me at all to see us end up with Drummond

JJ was asked for 2 years to join the Celtics staff but he said he had no interest at the time. Though this past offseason he almost joined.

Now he's a Laker coach.

Crazy.

Ok I’m on record as saying the Knicks actually suck but they just got Mikal Bridges and that’s pretty f***ing bad news. They’re clearly the second best team in the East now

If the Knicks keep Anunoby they'll be a threat. The backend of those unprotected picks they gave up may end up being really high in the draft but they're giving themselves the best chance for a 4 or 5 year run as a contender.

Thing about the league right now is there's a lot of good teams but i think there's only two great teams and if you can build a team that matches up well with one of those great teams then you're actually a contender. Knicks are trying to build their roster with switchable wings that can defend to throw at Tatum and Brown.

Wouldn't be surprised if they trade down from 30 just for luxury tax reasons but if Kyle Filipowski is there at 30 he's the kind of player they should be drafting. Big men who can shoot are a luxury and for the offense Mazzulla plays, even if he just turns into another Mike Muscala or Channing Frye that's still a positive.

From The Ringer:

PLUSES
  • Versatile shooter who can drain 3s from way beyond the arc using screens, handoffs, and movement within the flow of the offense.
  • Capable ball handler who can attack closeouts using the threat of his jumper with pump fakes to get into pull-ups and floaters. He can also get all the way to the rim for touch finishes high off the glass.
  • Pick-and-roll skills give him additive value. He’s more than just a shooting specialist.
  • High-feel player. He makes timely passes as a connective piece, he’s a willing screener, and he’s a great rebounder for his position.
  • Solid defender who puts in excellent effort and plays attentively. If his athleticism continues to progress, he’ll at least be serviceable.
MINUSES
  • He’s not a great athlete. He dunks only when he has space. And he’s limited defensively with heavy feet moving laterally.
  • Logged only 29 blocks in 162 collegiate games and averaged less than one steal per game.

Guessing there must have been some intel out there that they liked him. Saw something that had six mock drafts from the media all lined up next to each other and three of the six had Scheierman going at 30 to the Celtics and two of the ones that didn't had him going earlier. Wonder if this means anything for that Hauser extension that's been talked about.

As an alum of a Big East school, he was absolute pain in the ass to play against.

Probably a below-average NBA athlete, but if Sam Hauser can carve out an NBA role...
He's probably a Hauser replacement if he ends up going elsewhere. Or at least projects like a Hauser type.
