  • Sportsbook will reset after the Cup is won
Is Brind'amour the first ti win the cup with the same team as a player and a coach ?

Next as a GM ?

I was going to change my stance when i remembered Toe Blake was coach in the 50s, but seeing him as coach in 68, we definitely have people who saw him win it as a coach at least

Jordan Staal set a unique NHL record with this Cup win — the gap between his first Stanley Cup victory (with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009) and his second (with the Hurricanes in 2026) is 17 years, the longest gap between Stanley Cup wins by any player in NHL history. That beats the previous record held by future Hall-of-Famer Chris Chelios (who had a 16-year gap between Cups).

Very impressive for the Conn Smythe winner and a big congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes for a phenomenal Stanley Cup win!

Congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes.

It would have been good if the series went 7 games, because that would have meant a little more hockey to watch.

This is always the time of year when I feel a bit of melancholy, when the Stanley Cup is awarded, since it means no more hockey for 3.5 months.
