The Capuano Countdown Part II

At this point, we have a .450 (9-6-5) win percentage when leading after two periods.

The second worst team winning pct. in this scenario is .667 (18-3-6) by Detroit. Every other team is well over .700 in the category. Buffalo is at .750 (6-0-2) just to give you some frame of reference; Edmonton is at .800 (12-1-2).

The coaches that end the season with records this bad tend to end up needing to find new jobs in the offseason. (I looked it up earlier in the season when we had an even worse percentage just to give me some hope.) There don't tend to be more than two teams below .500 in the category (very rare) and some years there aren't any (more common).

We were actually 16-2-1 (.842) with a lead heading into the 2nd period in 2012-13. We were last in the league at 19-1-8 (.679) in 2011-12. You read that correctly; we were dead last in the category among the league and that much better off than we are currently.

Where'd you find that info?

Re: last night's comeback win against VC:

"A 3-0 deficit going into the third period, we were pretty deflated," said [Matt] Martin.

"The coaches came in and made it clear we didn't do enough in the second period and we didn't play for one another, and if we didn't pick up our game in the third period they'd have no problem taking guys out of the lineup and not dressing everybody."

Notice that Martin said "the coaches came in" and referred to them later in the plural again. Cappy is weak.

I cannot put into words how badly I want Cappy gone.
As long as he's behind the bench ill have a hard time caring about this team.

It would have been hysterical if we only dressed 9 guys next game. Would have looked like a 10:30pm Men's League lineup.
