I've been watching the Leafs since 1989, so I am allowed to be a pessimist haha. But within the past 36 years, no team on paper has been as talented as this squad, and this includes the first-Gilmour and Sundin eras.

The Leafs (and especially core four) have a glorious opportunity to rewrite the narrative for the past decade tonight and I really hope they make the most of it. There are some great videos of Teddy Atlas talking about how boxers like Usyk just know how to win, and how up and coming champions like Dubois eventually "figure it out", believe in themselves, and go on a huge run. The closest hockey parallel would be Yzerman's Red Wings, which took about a dozen years to finally break through.

I really think if the Leafs do finally "figure it out" tonight, this could be the start of something really special for the group - this playoff run and beyond. It's an enormous if though, but at least we can dare to dream.

6. Marner and Rielly do not f***ing turnover the puck with fancy bullshit LEARN BY NOW
7. Matthews, Nylander and Tavares shoot every chance you get
8. figure your shit out in the 2nd period -> been outplayed in 2nd periods for 4 games in a row now
9. 3rd period if you have a lead do not sit on it and give florida multiple chances to get back in the game
10. play as a 5 man unit, play more in the offensive zone, all the lines take every possible shot there is to take, look for rebounds/garbage goals not just rush chances. PLAY FULL 60 MINUTES
