Much better showing so far. Most of that period wasn't great but they had to kill a couple too.

Be nice if they score a couple more and make this an easy one but so far this year I don't know if that's happened. Maybe 1 or 2 times?!?

Nothing is a gimme game with us.
Jesus, you guys must be the most pessimistic group of people on the planet. I don't want to interrupt the self-flagellation that goes on here, but the reality is that Toronto is a vastly superior team to Seattle.

The Leafs are superior to a lot of teams and routinely lose to them. Well maybe not routinely but often enough that it’s a trend and screws us out of a higher place in the standings.

We have 5 regulation wins

Seems like getting hurt somehow snapped Marner into game mode. Didn’t mind him last game even with the toe puck in the SO but he seems emotionally unburdened.
To be honest, I think it's more because Matthews hasn't been very good this year and now that Marner isn't stuck with him, he's able to play his game again.

The Bud's have a habit of playing down, so it's not really pessimism it's more learned behaviour.

Indeed, they are... and yet, they've managed to lose to those teams far too often. I mean, you can't deny that can you?

He's probably forgotten our losses to Chicago already. Pretty funny considering he was telling world that we couldn't possibly lose to them because we already lost to them earlier in the season. Yep, you can't make this shit up.

Cage Marner > Headband Klay?

Did you say Cage?

Or the team simply got off to a slow start to the season, just as it did in prior seasons, and is now coming around.
