The Best Save of All Time?

Really liked the best passes thread so figured one for great saves would be fun too.

My personal favorite has to be Nabokov's against the Stars in the 2008 playoffs. Just never gets old.

That’s a great save as far as importance, but not quality.

I always find the last ditch effort stick saves to be awesome, but there have been many of those.

A unique and awesome save actually happened last season, with Vasilevsky’s behind the back glove save.

Also Holtby's stick save in the playoffs because of the importance of it.

I was going to post this. I am a Canuck fan but that save was amazing. Bure then scores in the 2nd OT to take the series. Canucks go all the way to the finals. This save - saved the season in spectacular fashion.

jonathan quicks superhuman leg save gets my vote. Among athletic goalies, he is clearly the most impressive. This save is jaw dropping

The Caron save comes to mind with the sheer improbability of that save being replicated. The Nabokov save on Richards was great because it combined an insane degree of athleticism with a critical game situation - which is pretty rare.

Both Martin Brodeur and Dominik Hasek in game 6 of 1994 playoffs when Buffalo beat New Jersey 1-0 in the fourth overtime. Brodeur had 49 saves and Hasek had 70 saves.
