I feel like 'folgers in your cup' is a 90s jingle. are others that old, or is it more pervasive than i thought?

Yeah it's fairly old.

Possibly even 80's.

Celebrating “The Best Part of Wakin’ Upâ„¢â€

It’s one the most recognizable pieces of advertising that’s been stuck in your head and lingering on the tip of your tongue since 1984. It’s the Folgers® Jingle—and we’re celebrating its 30th anniversary! Composed by Leslie Pearl, the original Jingle debuted in 1984 and has since been transformed into country, gospel, jazz, R & B, folk, Celtic, and a cappella versions.

Over the years, fans have embraced its timeless melody and made it their own. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, take a look back at our Folgers Jingle Contest, which began in 2010. Watch how the classic jingle inspired so many finalists to create their own renditions.

I can remember the Folgers commercials being on TV when I was a kid. Been around since the 80's like myself.

Not a classic. The only true Canadian ad classic involves the words 'burnt toast'.

Me - omg, this ad. how does it still exist?
Everyone else - bc internet.

"Not" a classic?

Sir, The Log Driver's Waltz is one of the greatest Canadian songs ever made.

Every Canadian knows this, and those who don't, should.
