Well, definitely never going back to Herman's Hideaway.

There were like five bands playing there tonight, but I was only there to see Kobra and the Lotus.

And as luck would have it, the audio quality was flat out horrible for their set. Mics cutting in and out, one cymbal overpowering everything else the whole set for some reason, Kobra stopped after a couple songs to try to fix some buzzing interference to no avail.

I've seen the band play before and they sounded amazing. And they sounded amazing tonight for the small stretches where they could actually be heard. Half the time one guitar overpowered everything and half the time (usually during the solos) it couldn't be heard at all.

I didn't even stay for the headliner.

At least they had the Avs game on TV. I got to watch the whole thing while a gong show of awful opening acts played (with perfect audio quality).
Kobra does tend to play great live shows, seen them a couple of times at the Marquis. Haven't been to any non-local shows at Herman's, and never had a bad time. It's been a few years though, maybe something's changed.

Round 2 gents and gentets, time to take out the single mother I picked up at the bar last week. See what her real side is.

Then on deck is last night's number, the nurse with a German Shepherd.

Matched another two women on bumble today, who knows what will come of those.

@JWK Why Cafe Rio so low? I haven't had their food, but one of my friends is absolutely insane about it. Still no Yolanda's?

I think Abusement Park and I talked about this in the past that their green chile is very average. Whatever they do for their fish tacos though is amazing and the sauce they put on it. Destroys Rubio's and other places I've had when it came to their fish tacos.
Because their sauce isn't that good. However, their guac is amazing and you can't go wrong with them on Tuesday because burritos, 2 tacos, quesadilla meals, etc. are $6 on Tuesdays.

Dating just isn’t my scene. I tried a lot of those dating apps and whatnot, but I don’t like the “game playing” that’s done in today’s dating world.

It’s too early to know how things will go with my new lady, but we already had something of a foundation after going to HS together, and so far things are going really well. And best of all—no games in this situation.

But best of luck with all of this. From someone who recently went through it, but didn’t have *near* the amount of success as you’ve had, you animal you! ;)

OK, I think there's something amiss in this world. She bought dinner. $175 dinner.

This is LW reporting from the car on the way to our 2nd bar. I'm going in guys, check in with you if I come up for air.

I dunno gang, there's something there. I can't explain it. Took her to The Melting Pot, then a couple bars. She was telling me about her favorite song to dance to and it came on at the bar so I brought her to the dance floor and that was it. Night changed drastically.

Dropped her off at home, but we're getting together again Friday.

Live it up brother. Don't end up a guy who turns 50 and has a crisis because he never dated enough girls when he had the chance. Don't do anything that will ruin your life, but keep having fun, enjoying the moment, and experiencing that amazing high that comes from hitting it off with a girl when the future is nothing but possibilities.

Sometimes when something feels right it feel right. You can’t control it. That’s the strange thing about dating and relationships and stuff like that.

Example, I was telling my co-worker that my female roommate initially thought me going to my new girlfriend’s house on the second date may have been “a bit too fast” (but again, I knew her in high school, relatively well). My co-worker then proceeded to say “You knew that my husband and I were set up on a blind date right? And that 3 months after that first date we were married. We’re celebrating 29 years of marriage on Sunday”

Her lesson? f*** what others say or think, if stuff feels right to you and whoever you’re with then that’s all that matters

@S E P H I finished watching the first two seasons of My Hero Academia. First few episodes I was like "is this really a good series?" but I got into it quite quickly after that.

I really really liked it, but to enjoy it you have to accept the fact that this is 100% pure shonen anime. Not like there is anything wrong with that but anyway. It was well animated, the action was kinda nice, I liked the humor and the characters.

Now I have to decide if I watch S3 one episode per week or wait till the season is finished.
Yeah, My Hero Academia starts off really slow and takes a lot from other pictures most notably Hunter X Hunter, but it gets better and better. You mean shonen - by describing the show as one of those average which doesn't bring anything new yet is overall solid? Because that's how I see it personally.

That is the dilemma I face when watching something I love, such as Food Wars!...do I wait until the season is over after I catch up with it or decide to watch it because I love it so much.

Am I the only one who prefers cakey donuts? I mean I love doughy ones with some vanilla frosting and M&M action on top, but I dont think you can top a nice cakey donut with milk.

I’m all about the cake doughnut. Oddly I haven’t had one with milk in quite some time.

My favorite treat with milk is Vanilla Wafers.

Tres Leche cake intrigues me but I guess I haven’t had a good one yet.
