The Arizona Coyotes left Shane Doan’s retirement banner in a dumpster in Gila River Arena

Where is their pacific division champions banner and where is that going to go?

Hold up.

How did this dude find it in the dumpster?
I saw a post on here the other day someone linked from X that allegedly showed Doan's banner sitting on someone's reclining chair at the home of an arena employee. Maybe it's the guy who saved it from being tossed? Strange that they didn't take it down when they left or request it back?

Don’t judge me, I was searching for the Sabres’ next coach in an Arizona dumpster. In the summer. Poor decision.

Alex Merulo should be banned from having any participation in the NHL in any capacity.

Dude shouldn’t be in free society, but that’s another matter.

This. And Gary Bettman should pay a price for letting this go on for long as it did.

A lot of the stuff going on between the Coyotes and Bettman/the league felt like a stereotypical enabling relationship that you hear about on shows like My 600 Pound Life. It's the best thing to happen for all parties that the Utah Jazz owner wants to expand his sports empire. Hopefully Coyotes fans finally get a real team and a real owner in expansion.

That's genuinely shameful behaviour by Arizona's organization, wow

It sounds like it was packed away in a box with some other stuff, and then the boxes were thrown out.

Not a great look, but somewhat understandable when you think about the logistics of clearing out an entire arena’s worth of stuff.
