Is it normal for teams to put the logo on the ice so early? Will be weird to watch the game on Saturday with that at center ice.

They probably figured let's put it down now, make it official before they try to take it away from us again ;)

Edit: Now hearing reports All Star weekend has been moved to Sochi. Unreal.

Was thinking the same thing.. Anyone know?? Was it just a test run that was removed shortly after?

I seem to remember Montreal and Ottawa having the center ice logo before the game.

This isn't even at the arena so I'm not sure why anyone cares? :dunno:

It is free, using the ASG logo in promos, and is being promoted as part of the ASG weekend.

Hopefully that's not the only thing they have to announce.

Was hoping for some Ohio connection. Appears Clark Manson (who?) is from Convington. I don't quite get the connection between country and hockey, unless they're trying to "expand their audience" for the weekend?

Who knows, but I would not get your hopes up. This is the NHL doing all of the planing after all.

Reports are the team has suggested Ohio connected acts the the NHL, along with other things, but it's all on the NHL.

Anyone attending the invite only event at the casino Monday? Sounds similar to the setup the did for the Olympic Jackets last year.

I didn't get an invite. Must only been sent to the "high rollers"? Not us rank and file Day 1 PSL holders.:sarcasm:

Really though, I think they severely limit the invites to that event, which makes it better than other events (such as Zoo event) because there may only be 300-400 people invited versus several thousand. I went last year and it was one of the nicer events they've hosted. Easy to get autographs/pics with the players. Good food. I think the drinks were even free. I actually thought I was invited by mistake.

It'll probably be better this year (fewer people) since the Buckeye fans have something else to occupy them that night.

,

I think it is corporate and premium seating like suites, loge boxes, not sure. I was at the Olympic one, and agree that at a venue like that, invites have to be few. I thought I was invited to the Olympic one by mistake, too... lol. Heard about this All Star event from a friend whose company holds four lower bowl sideline tickets in the HD lounge, so there's that.
