they’ve made the same game for 5 years at least. I’ll buy it bc I play CHEL with friends but it’s a $60 annual roster update. Criminal how lazy they are.

Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I’m in no rush to get the PS5, no launch titles really intrigue me, and NHL 21 isn’t even releasing on next gen consoles this year. The games I’m waiting for are Harry Potter, Planet Coaster & NHL 22

I never get a new console at launch. Launch titles are always whack (although Demon Souls remake is gonna be lit) and the price usually drops in about a year or 2. I waited about a year for Ps3, 2 years for Ps4, i'll probably do the same for PS5. I guess it depends when the new Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy games come out.
I usually mooch off of early adopting buddies/roommates anyway lol

I usually wait too for all the reasons you mentioned, plus it gives them a broader 'test' audience and some extra time to work out some of the kinks and bugs with the hardware and software. (I did break that rule and buy a launch Switch though)

Agreed. I just bought three 12 month Xbox Live keys for $32 each, then paid $14.99 to convert all 36 months to Gamepass Ultimate. If I hadn't already used a trial earlier this year it would have only been $1 to convert. Either way, three years of Gamepass for $111 is a pretty solid deal. Now I just need to decide whether to keep the Series X or Series S.

You can do a similar thing to EA Play, as that's joining Game Pass. Get 3 years of that and it'll convert to like 1 year of GPU, and it's like $30/year. You can get it for less via gray market. No where near as good of a deal as the XBL to GPU, but still better than $180/year that the $15/month MSRP is.

I still play NHL 17, I just manually update the rosters and create any missing players/prospects in the create a player mode. I also created the Vegas Golden Knights lol.
Same. I likely won't get the PS5 right away, I'll wait a while. PS4 will still easily keep me going lol

There is an embarrassment of riches in terms of gameplay experiences on all consoles.. I have a back log that could last me my entire lifetime.
I've always been a Playstation person, going back to the PS1. Never owned an X-box or any other console.

I feel ya, man. I've been fortunate enough to own several different consoles throughout my life time. The experiences now a day are so deep and diverse that there's no shortage of games to play on any one console.
with all that said, PS1 may be my sleeper favorite console of all time. Playing Metal gear and Resident evil as a kid. Holy Moly. They were 'cinematic' experiences before I knew they could exist like that in a video game.
I loved the PS2 for the quantity of games it had. But the PS1 will always hold a special place in my heart. From Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil series, Spyro the Dragon series, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Tony Hawk, Suikoden, etc.

Just got Horizon Zero Dawn for my PC yesterday. What an amazing game!!! The voiceacting is probably the best I've ever heard in a game. Just amazing
