Nuny, your avatar is so sad, yet so fitting.

This is looking like a 2 win November. That's as atrocious as it gets, I suspect when the losing streak getting to 10 or 12, lots of people get fired.

I would, if it's possible, Jimmy Devilano(sp) would be the guy I would bring in to help Nicholson fix this Submarine with a screen door.

The thing that is more apparent all the time is that the core that the front office is so adamant about not dealing just sucks.

I still just laugh at how both local and national media including credible guys like Mackenzie act as if the Mac and Lowe show is in a new phase and that everything should have started over from zero when mact was gifted the job.

These guys totally failed at trying to get impact players just after the fluke cup run.

They totally failed at the 1st rebuild, Cogliano, Gagner, Plante etc

they have totally failed in the latest rebuild, no real improvement for core young guys and a revolving door of jag 3d and 4th liners.

revolving door of coaches.

The same people have been in charge for 10 or more years and have utterly and spectacularly failed at everything they have put their hand to.

Soon to be nine. But we are showing 'progress' and 'the process is improving'. Other than a few lapses we looked good out there.

How old are Klowe and MacT again? I guess we will have to wait until they are bed ridden for this team to turn it around. I also believe that Katz's curly headed gingerbread son will run Rexall into the ground and go bankrupt. Rant over.

Progress!!! Accountability!!! Competence!!!

Edit: Should probably be their nicknames. Kevin "Accountability" Lowe. Craig "Progress" MacTavish. Scott "Competence" Howson.

If we hired Ken Holland and Mike Babcock TODAY, how long do you think it would realistically take to make the playoffs?

I'd say a minimum two years.

THAT's scary. That's how big a mess Lowe has made of this thing. It would take a great GM and coach a lot of additional work to turn this thing around.

And we don't have a great GM or coach.

Let's look at the schedule...

Nov. 28 - STL (Automatic Loss)
Dec. 1 - ARI (first game back from a road trip = slow start = loss)
Dec. 3 - WPG (We have a chance)

Now this is where it gets interesting...

Dec. 7 - SJ (Loss but not automatic)
Dec. 9 - SJ (Loss but not automatic)
Dec. 10 - ANA (2nd game of a back to back, automatic loss)
Dec. 12 - ANA (first game back from a road trip = slow start vs. good team = automatic loss)

In other words if we don't beat WPG, it is very plausible that we are looking at 15 game losing streak
