OT: The all encompassing HFSabres music thread with no rules (as long as it’s music posted)

Saw Magdalena Bay at Riverworks last week--was very surprised at how good they sounded considering the venue isn't really anything to write home about for concerts. I didn't realize they toured with a full band, it was cool to hear their initial prog rock sound/influences come through in portions of different songs, both from their most recent album and older stuff

Not me ugly crying when he sang "Receive and transmit" for the first time. Still miss you, Kyle.

Absolutely fantastic tune. Saw it done live, and it was just as spectacular.

I once asked Sig if he took his name from this song. He was a PG fan, but this song didn’t make him “Signal to Noise”, but I think of him when I hear it.

Which area did they do the stage from? If it’s on one of the rinks, not surprised, that’s where they usually have their best sound. If it’s the usual spot with the stage, then they had some good sound guys.

They were up on the stage and the crowd was on the rink floor

Yeah, I've experienced the best sounding concerts consistently in that part of the venue.

The stage that is near the entrance you need a solid/competent sound crew to get quality out of it.
