This works way more than it should. Like Metallica done in a 1950s style? How the hell?

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord ServerMy sophomore year roommate was astounded when I said, "I hate U2." His name was Calvin, and he was a Calvinist. Like the actual thing, not an ego trip.
Not sure why so many people hate on U2. I’ve always found their sound unique, and I have a bunch of their stuff in my music library.I actually haven’t minded some U2 covers. But they’re generally a pretty boring band.

Probably because they forced themselves on to everyone's iPhone uninvited. Not sure why so many people hate on U2. I’ve always found their sound unique, and I have a bunch of their stuff in my music library.
I remember that. That was Apple too.Probably because they forced themselves on to everyone's iPhone uninvited.
re: U2
Last album overall I enjoyed from them that they put out was Rattle and Hum, and the last studio album I enjoyed was Joshua Tree.
Couldn’t find anything I liked from their 90’s albums, and their 2000’s+ albums felt too commercial for me.
This song was used to perfection in the series finale of The Americans thoughI'm of a similar mind. I like some of their first three albums and started to lose interest by "The Unforgettable Fire" when they started to get some level of popularity. I haven't really liked much of anything I've heard from them since. *shrug* Not my cuppa, but if others enjoy it, have at it.

This would be my dream project haha. But one easy starting point would be 1001 songs/albums books. I think playlists of those are available on spotify. What I wouldn't use is Billboards Year End Hot 100 lists - lots of garbage in there that doesn't stand the test of time.My youngest has asked for "a list of songs I think she should know". I'm not sure how to approach a mix tape that large.

Interesting interview snippit...
"That's the letter U and the numeral 2"They’re just boring to me. In every aspect. Although I know a lot of the hate for them is Bono.
Oy.
After whatever maintenance they did here on the site, my account was mangled. Tried logging in, said my password was wrong. I use a password manager, so I know that wasn't the case. Ok, let's reset my password then. User doesn't exist. WTF? I've been here for about 20 yrs now.
Ok fine, something happened to the database, I'm deleted. Create a new account. Sorry, due to problems, can't do that.
Ok fine. Contact us. Type out a detailed description of what was happening. Submit - Sorry, looks like you're spamming. Type out a much less verbose description of what was happening. Submit - Sorry, still looks like you're spamming. GRRR
I finally just had to send my email address and username and say please contact me about my problem. Then, suddenly, I get a link for my password reset.![]()
Not going to lie, it was frustrating, but yeah, glad to be back. That sucks. Glad you're back. Things were borked badly.
Not my favorite band by any stretch but I will say that the Live at Red Rocks album is one of my favorite live albums and maybe the first one I ever owned as a kid (on cassette!). I think the main reason I decided to buy it was because I'd recently seen Red Rocks on trip to visit cousins in Denver. Not sure why so many people hate on U2.
