All right, folks, here's a question: what songs get you amped up in the opening 5 seconds? I'm thinking Machinehead, Separate Ways, stuff that is iconic and cool and when it starts you just say Let's ****ing Go!

This is sort of a personal thing though right? Thinking of things off the top of my head -

This particular live version of this song -

This mostly out of wanting to simply shout this at life -

The urge to hit shit -

I'm sure there are others, those are what I could think of in the last few minutes and find links to quickly.

I've never seen this Styx (non-original lineup) cover of the Humble Pie classic. If you haven't heard the Steve Marriott / Peter Frampton / Clem Clempson / Greg Ridley / Jerry Shirley version, this one is pretty damn good alternative. It also looks as though there was an orchestra joining for portions of this show.

There's something beautiful when old men sing sad melodies. I can see myself at a hole-in a-wall bar playing this song while downing brews and sharing laughs with the guys I'm close with.

Went to Ireland recently and it was awesome wandering in to random pubs, along the way or middle of nowhere, and there's just a couple dudes chilling in the corner singing and jamming on Uillean pipes or accordions.

And thanks for the Guy Clark reminder, I circle back to him a lot when I'm trying to learn new stuff on the guitar. My favorite of his; I'd give my left nut to play like this
