The 2025 Draft Thread

This is pretty much how I see it. There's a clear top 4 and if they aren't picking there I would trade the pick.

We have this conversation every year. No one in the top 10 trades back. This isn't the NFL.

I also hope they stay far away from McQueen. I don't trust it. If they want a big C I would rather look at William Horcoff in the 2nd.

McQueen seems to be shaping up like Kirby Dach 2.0. And that's not a compliment.

Yeah I know it's a near 0% chance. I wouldn't expect it to be traded. But I would hope they at least look into it, which I'm sure they would. My comment was more a testament to how much I dislike this class after the top 4.

Considering size and shot handedness, Martone could be a fit on that alone looking at the diminutive, left-shot nature of almost all of their skill forwards.
That's completely fair. The size and skill is enticing. I think more than his position, it's the dark periods that I mentioned that concern me most. I'm hesitant to draft another player that needs to be dragged into the fight. That's partly why I've been beating the drum for Bear. That kid is hardwired to succeed like nobody I've seen in a fair number of years. All that said, I can be persuaded about Martone. He's just not an automatic pick for me like he is with some others.

Bear reminds me a bit of draft year Krebs - a lot of energy and work but I do still wonder a bit at his skill level. I love that he works his bag off though. And if they are looking at Bear, picking around 10-12 would be fine for me. I'm not really in love with anything in this draft the more I poke about in it and watch what is going on.

Someone said that Bear is the second Krebs, is there a similarity or not? I just don't know anything about him.

LOL, and the comment above
