Well, definitely didn't have this game being a clown pounding ahead of time
Bo Nix's success will get him drafted. Don't know where I'd place him. I'd rather have him than Spencer Rattler on my roster.Something about the name Dillon Gabriel just screams good college qb who will never take a snap in the nfl
Obviously not, but if the 4 teams with byes get swept, they will definitely reconsider those being reserved for conference champions. Though, don't know how they would apply to the only team who went undefeated, they'd still be #1Just saw the score. Oregon is getting blown out, does this mean they don't deserve to be in the tournament? Seems like that was the argument after the first round.
I think they’re moreso concerned with blowouts than just outright losses. They lose money when people are tuned out by halftime so they’ll do what they have to do to try to get the weaker teams facing each other in the first round.Obviously not, but if the 4 teams with byes get swept, they will definitely reconsider those being reserved for conference champions. Blowouts was already a problem with a 4-team playoff. There’s not much you can do with that unless you have something like when Oklahoma would get in and get their asses handed to them every year and they just have to consider that the conference isn’t any good. Probably why they left.I think they’re moreso concerned with blowouts than just outright losses. As you mentioned, none of this really affects or is affected by Oregon, who would be a top seed regardless of seeding methodology
Not talking about switching up the teams, just shuffling the seeds so you get more competitive matchups in week 1Blowouts was already a problem with a 4-team playoff. Teams who are getting in now would otherwise be teams you’d be looking at to make a move next year, such as Tennessee or Clemson or even Indiana. It’s just a year too early. Teams who are ranked 10th you wouldn’t normally consider as national championship contenders. But the #10 team should absolutely be in a 12-team field.
With NIL, I think we can have a rather deep playoff. It just may take some time to get it fully done. recruits seeing schools like SMU make the playoffs, who can also pay may help.Blowouts was already a problem with a 4-team playoff.
